School Meets Business: Shaping the Future Together

How can young people be best prepared for the challenges of the future? Which skills will become increasingly important – and what responsibility do businesses have when it comes to education and democracy? These and other questions were at the heart of the “School Meets Business” event hosted by HAHN Automation Group in Rheinböllen.

Together with Puricelli Realschule plus Rheinböllen and Regionalrat Wirtschaft Rhein-Hunsrück e. V., the event brought together representatives from education, business, and politics. The focus was on an open exchange about how education can be shaped for the future and how collaboration between schools and businesses can be further strengthened.

Following insightful perspectives on the “School of the Future” concept, Dr. Martin Hummrich from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economic Affairs provided additional food for thought in his keynote address. The panel discussion that followed brought together different perspectives and provided an opportunity to explore key questions about the future. Elke Schott from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Education also participated in the event and contributed to the exchange.

The event demonstrated the value of an ongoing dialogue between education and business. When schools, companies, and other stakeholders bring together their experiences and perspectives, they can create new opportunities for career guidance and help young people prepare for the future.
