Joining HAHN as a Working Student–Practical Experience During Your Studies

Joining HAHN as a working student is the perfect choice if you want to continue gaining practical experience and expanding your knowledge during your studies. Regardless of whether you have completed your apprenticeship with us and then decided to study, or whether you are new to the HAHN Team.

As a working student, you are usually permanently assigned to a department and, after your induction, you will be given fixed tasks which you can work on independently for the most part. This allows you to manage your time flexibly alongside your studies and work more during the semester break than during the exam period, for example.

If you would like to apply as a working student, we look forward to receiving your unsolicited application.

Working Students Tell Us About Their Time at HAHN

I started at HAHN in 2019 as a Working Student and was able to gain my first experience in the Procurement department. During my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, I started working full-time at HAHN and have been supporting the management on various strategic and operational projects since then. I like the fact that the work is really varied and that you learn and grow with every project. What I really appreciate is that I am given a lot of trust and that I can work independently.

Executive Assistant to the COO

After graduating from high school, I completed an apprenticeship as an Industrial Clerk at HAHN. As I then wanted to expand my knowledge in the fields of Engineering and Business, I decided to study Industrial Engineering at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. I really appreciate the fact that I was able to continue working at HAHN as a Working Student throughout my studies and that I can now also write my Bachelor's thesis here. As a result, I was able to gain professional experience throughout my studies and always had a practical connection to the subjects I was studying.
