Job description

  • Development and implementation of project-specific procurement strategies as well as early involvement in the quotation and calculation phase
  • Independently managing the procurement of project-specific special and drawing-based parts – from supplier selection and inquiries through to order placement and delivery monitoring
  • Close cooperation with engineering, project management, and sales departments, actively contributing procurement expertise to interdisciplinary project teams
  • Conducting price, contract, and terms & conditions negotiations with national and international suppliers
  • Managing and continuously developing project-related supplier management, including the coordination of complaints and escalations
  • Ensuring cost-effective, quality-oriented, and on-time procurement processes
  • Planning, coordinating, and tracking all procurement-related activities throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Identifying and realizing cost optimization and savings potentials within projects

Requirements

  • Completed technical or commercial degree, for example in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in technical or project-based purchasing, ideally within mechanical or plant engineering
  • Strong technical understanding and experience in procuring complex, customer-specific components
  • Confident appearance, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team and enjoy collaborating in interdisciplinary and international project teams
