Job description

  • Independently managing the procurement of manufacturing parts, drawing-based components, and purchased parts while considering production and project requirements
  • Requesting, comparing, and evaluating quotations as well as conducting and analyzing supplier inquiries (RFQs)
  • Creating, placing, and tracking purchase orders while ensuring smooth and on-time order processing
  • Monitoring and following up on delivery dates and proactively coordinating with suppliers in case of delays
  • Communicating and negotiating with national and international suppliers regarding prices, delivery conditions, and contractual terms
  • Maintaining and updating relevant purchasing and master data within the ERP systems used
  • Close cooperation with production, production planning, project management, quality assurance, and logistics departments
  • Supporting the optimization of procurement processes and ensuring cost-effective and demand-oriented material supply

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training, ideally with further qualification in purchasing, materials management, or business administration
  • Professional experience in operational purchasing within a manufacturing company, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering
  • Confident handling of technical drawings, bills of materials, and specifications, along with a strong technical understanding
  • Experience with ERP systems and common MS Office applications
  • Structured, independent, and responsible way of working with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a professional approach when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with a good understanding of production processes and supply chains
  • Ability to work in a team, reliability, and a solution-oriented approach
